Jewelry
Architecture and ornamental motifs are central to my jewelry practice. My early works were shaped by my concern for historic buildings threatened by land subsidence, a consequence of excessive groundwater extraction and unsustainable water management. Through these pieces, I explored the vulnerability of cultural heritage in the face of environmental change.
After moving to Norway in 2022, my artistic focus evolved toward creating a dialogue between Iranian architectural traditions and Norwegian design. Living and working in Bergen, I draw continual inspiration from the architecture and history of Bryggen. The distinctive forms, rooflines, textures, patterns, and structural details of the surrounding buildings find their way into my sculptural jewelry, where they merge with influences from my Iranian heritage. Through this fusion, my work reflects both the place I come from and the place I now call home.
